Caregiver
Currently there are two active Caregiver Permanent Residence Pathways – Permanent residence thru the Live-in Caregiver Program (LCP), and Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker pilots, each program will accept max. of 2,750 principal applicants per year. The LCP is closed to new applicants but applicants with at least two years of work experience in Canada with LCP work permit can apply for PR. Under the Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker Pilot caregivers with experience in NOC 4411 and 4412 will be eligible to applying for permanent residence. Foreign applicants with job offers, with CLB 5, and one year’s experience can apply for work permit and after two years of experience will be eligible for permanent residence.
